about

Proxima b, The Argonauts follow-up to their 2016 debut Here Come The Argonauts!, is a 3-song EP featuring spontaneous compositions from their studio recording session. Departing from the full length’s song-oriented format, Proxima b finds the band displaying their dextrous improvisational interplay on three extended tracks that alternate between heavy rock beats, acid grooves and jazzy skirmishes. While The Argonauts previously navigated the rougher waters of surf, dub and psychedelic music, this venture takes them further out into the cosmic edges of prog and space rock. Proxima b captures the more adventurous side of The Argonauts’ live perforemances which often feature extended improvisational excursions.
